“This Man Wasn’t Willing to Retire to Preserve His Marriage to a Supermodel”- Fans React as Tom Brady Defies Advice to Start the Final Game of the Season
At the end of yet another regular season in the NFL, Tom Brady finds himself in a familiar place. The seven-time Super Bowl winner has once again secured his place in the playoffs. Many did not think we would see Tom Brady play another game in the NFL let alone a playoff game given that he had decided to hang up his boots at the end of last season.

Despite having a horrible record in the regular season, Brady and the Bucs have qualified for the playoffs as they are part of arguably the weakest conference. This season, the Bucs have lost nine and won eight games. In the final game week of the season, the Bucs faced the Atlanta Falcons, and with qualification sealed and a slight injury, it did not make sense for Tom Brady to play the game. However, Brady started the game against the advice of his team.
Tom Brady defies advice
A tweet put out by Dov Kleiman read, “The #Buccaneers wanted Tom Brady to rest today against the #Falcons since the team has nothing to play for, according to @JayGlazer. But he wasn’t really having it, so he’ll start. Brady is 11-0 all time against the #Falcons, including a Super Bowl win.

Needless to say Brady’s decision to start against the advice of his team garnered interesting reactions from fans. Here are some of the best reactions to the same.
One fan said, “He’s also at 4610 yards. Maybe he really just wants to keep padding those stats as Mahomes is back to having another 5K season. I would.”
Another fan said, “This man wasn’t willing to retire to preserve his marriage to a supermodel, you think he’s sitting out week 18?”
“Playing the Falcons is a bye week anyway”- added another fan.
"Whatever it takes. That's why he's a champion. He's one of a kind."
