American professional basketball player Russell Westbrook plays for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers. He is a nine-time NBA All-Star, a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and the 2016–17 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP). In addition, he has made the All-NBA Team nine times, has twice led the league in scoring (in 2014–15 and 2016–17), and has twice been named MVP of the NBA All-Star Game (in 2015 and 2016).
Westbrook joined Oscar Robertson in 1962 as the only other player in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire season in 2017, the year he earned the league MVP award. With 42 triple-doubles, he also set a record for a season. For the fourth time in five seasons, Westbrook averaged a triple-double in 2020–21, surpassing Robertson for the most triple-doubles in an NBA career.
Westbrook represented the UCLA Bruins in collegiate basketball and was named to the Pac-10 third-team all-conference team. The Seattle SuperSonics selected him with the fourth overall choice in the 2008 NBA Draft; they later moved to Oklahoma City the following week. The 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2012 Olympics both saw Westbrook earn gold medals while playing for the American national team.
He was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2019 and spent one season there before being moved once more, this time to the Washington Wizards, in 2020. In 2021, following a season in Washington, he was moved to the Lakers.

She excelled academically in high school and was a multi-sport athlete (basketball and track & field). Earl led her high school team to two California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championship games in basketball, which ultimately took center stage (2003 & 2007).

She was an All-American and three-time CIF MVP. Later on, she transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles, where she played collegiate ball and earned a degree in psychology. The couple also met there. Nina has a store in Oklahoma City called The Little Ark where she sells presents, baby gear, and mommy-related goods. She also sells apparel for infants and children ‘Minibrook’.
