Marquise Goodwin NEWS
  • Marquise Goodwin Lands On Injured Reserve

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) has been placed on the injured reserve. He was unable to practice this week and continues to deal with lingering injuries. That being said, the Seahawks have decided to end his season early and let Goodwin get fully healthy. He finished the season with 27 receptions, 387 yards, and four touchdowns with Seattle. His one-year deal is over at the end of the season, but Goodwin shouldn't have an issue finding another team this offseason. The trio of Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Laquon Treadwell will be the primary wideouts for Week 17.

  • Marquise Goodwin Doubtful To Play Sunday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful for the Week 17 game against the New York Jets on Sunday. Goodwin was unable to practice all week after getting hurt in last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The good news for Seattle is Tyler Lockett (finger) is expected to return after a one-game absence due to a fractured index finger. If Lockett doesn't actually play or is limited at all this weekend, Laquon Treadwell would serve as the No. 2 behind DK Metcalf. The matchup won't be an easy one for Seahawks receivers, as the Jets defense has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts. Goodwin may be fighting an uphill battle to be ready for the regular season finale in Week 18.

  • Marquise Goodwin, Travis Homer Don't Practice Thursday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) and running back Travis Homer (ankle) missed a second consecutive practice on Thursday. At this rate, it looks like both players will face an uphill battle to play against the Jets in Week 17. Goodwin had an opportunity for extra snaps last week with Tyler Lockett (hand) sidelined, but he exited the game with an injury of his own after totaling four targets and zero catches. Meanwhile, Homer played just one snap last week. Even if he's active on Sunday, he is third on the depth chart and has no fantasy relevance.

  • Noah Fant, Marquise Goodwin Miss Practice

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (shoulder, wrist) were both absent from practice on Wednesday. Fant was questionable for Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs but ended up playing 55 percent of the snaps while catching two of three targets for 12 yards and a touchdown. He has scored in back-to-back games and in three of the last four, but he has only 11 receptions for 86 yards in that span, including a zero-reception game in Week 14. The 25-year-old should see more playing time with Will Dissly (knee) on IR, but he'll still be a touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer. Goodwin saw fewer snaps than Laquon Treadwell last Saturday with Tyler Lockett (finger) out, and he failed to catch any of his four targets. With Lockett looking to have a good shot at returning this Sunday against the New York Jets, Goodwin will go back to being off the fantasy radar.

  • Marquise Goodwin Questionable To Return On Saturday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (wrist) is questionable to return to Saturday's clash with the Chiefs. The 32-year-old re-injured the left wrist that forced him to carry a questionable tag heading into this one. Despite Tyler Lockett's (finger) absence, Goodwin didn't get anything going for fantasy managers before succumbing to the injury, failing to catch his only target. If he doesn't make it back out there for the rest of Week 16, Will Dissly, Colby Parkinson, and Laquon Treadwell should see some extra attention from Geno Smith. Of course, DK Metcalf would remain the preferred option on the receiving end.

  • Noah Fant, Marquise Goodwin Officially Active For Week 16

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (wrist, ankle) are active and will play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. No shock here, as Fant and Goodwin were expected to play in Week 16. Fant has caught 42 passes for 414 yards and three touchdowns over 14 games in 2022. The 25-year-old is in a timeshare with Will Dissly and remains a streamer in deep-league formats. Goodwin should see an uptick in targets with Tyler Lockett (finger) ruled out and is on the flex radar against the Chiefs in Week 16.

  • Noah Fant, Marquise Goodwin Expected To Play

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (knee) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ankle, wrist), who are both listed as questionable for Week 16, are expected to play on Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to head coach Pete Carroll. With Tyler Lockett (finger) out, Goodwin will elevate to the No. 2 receiver behind DK Metcalf this weekend, giving him some deep-league flex appeal in a game in which Seattle will surely be throwing often. The 32-year-old suffered a lateral ankle sprain in practice this week but should be good to go. Fant posted a donut for fantasy managers two weeks ago but rebounded with a touchdown in Week 15. He'll continue to share snaps with Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson, making him a touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer in fantasy.

  • Marquise Goodwin Questionable Against The Chiefs

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (wrist, ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Kansas Chiefs. The 32-year-old was limited at practice this week with wrist and ankle injuries. Fantasy managers will know the veteran's wideout official status an hour and a half before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Tyler Lockett (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. If active, Goodwin will see an uptick in targets with Lockett out and is on the flex radar in a potential shootout (49.5 over/under) against the Chiefs in Week 16.

  • Marquise Goodwin Limited On Wednesday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (ankle, wrist) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Goodwin was listed as a full participant on Tuesday, but it's very possible the Seahawks were just giving him a bit of a rest on Wednesday heading into a Week 16 game versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Tyler Lockett (finger) will not play on Christmas Eve, which will open up more opportunities for Goodwin as the team's No. 2 receiver behind DK Metcalf. The recently signed Laquon Treadwell could serve as the team's No. 3 with Lockett out. In a game in which Seattle could be forced to throw often, Goodwin will have some real WR4/flex upside in deeper leagues. He had 95 yards and a touchdown two weeks ago and has scored a career-high-tying four times in 12 games this year.

  • Marquise Goodwin Removed From The Injury Report

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hand) was removed from the injury report and is available in Week 14 versus the Carolina Panthers. The veteran totaled three touchdowns between Weeks 7 and 10. However, he's done little ever since. Considering DK Metcalf (hip) is expected to play on Sunday, Goodwin shouldn't offer much upside for fantasy managers in any format.

  • Travis Homer, Marquise Goodwin Practice In Full

Seattle Seahawks running back Travis Homer (knee) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hand) both put in full practices on Thursday. Homer was limited on Wednesday, while Goodwin didn't practice at all. Rookie Kenneth Walker III (ankle) and DeeJay Dallas (ankle) have yet to practice this week, so if one or both are inactive in Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers, Homer would see a significant role increase in the backfield. He's worth a speculative waiver-wire pickup if you roster Walker or need help at the RB position this week. The 24-year-old was inactive in Week 13 due to an illness. Goodwin now has a shot to suit up on Sunday versus Carolina, but he's not a realistic starting fantasy option behind target hogs DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Marquise Goodwin Doesn't Practice Wednesday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hand) didn't practice Wednesday. He has been dealing with a hand injury for weeks but has managed to play through it. Goodwin will have two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers. The 32-year-old has posted modest totals as Seattle's WR3. Goodwin has caught 20 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns over 10 games in 2022. The veteran wideout hasn't eclipsed 50 receiving yards since Week 7, making Goodwin a boom-or-bust flex against the Panthers in Week 14

  • Marquise Goodwin Will Play Against Rams

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (illness) wasn't given an injury designation on Friday and will play in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Goodwin was added to the injury report on Thursday, but he'll be good to go this weekend. The 32-year-old pass-catcher had a two-touchdown game in Week 7 and also scored a touchdown in Week 10 in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but outside of those games he's done very little for fantasy managers. He caught all three of his targets for 48 yards in Week 12 and has 19 receptions for 265 yards and three TDs on 25 targets in nine games for Seattle in 2022. With both DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett healthy, Goodwin has no business being in starting fantasy lineups in Week 13.

  • Marquise Goodwin Active For Germany Game

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (groin) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Munich, Germany. The veteran wideout had been listed as questionable, but there was plenty of optimism that he would play after he practiced in full on Friday. Goodwin has appeared in seven games this season, catching 14 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He can be left on waivers in most leagues.

  • Marquise Goodwin Looks Good For Sunday

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (groin) had a good day of practice on Friday, and assuming he responds well to Friday's workout, he looks good to play in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Germany on Sunday. Goodwin could draw a questionable tag on the final injury report on Friday, but he appears ready to return after missing the Week 9 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The 31-year-old was only attractive as a waiver-wire pickup when there was a possibility that DK Metcalf could miss time due to a knee injury, but Metcalf has managed to tough it out and play through his injury. Goodwin has only 14 catches on 20 targets for 179 yards and two touchdowns in seven games in 2022.

  • Marquise Goodwin Limited With Groin Issue Wednesday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (groin) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday. He was ruled out for last Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with a groin issue. The 31-year-old logged a limited practice Wednesday and is trending in the right direction towards playing in the Germany game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has 14 catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns over seven games in 2022. Goodwin is third on the wide receiver depth chart behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, making him a boom-or-bust flex at best against Tampa Bay in Week 10.

  • Marquise Goodwin Ruled Out For Week 9

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (groin) didn't practice at all this week and has been ruled out for Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. Goodwin came out of nowhere to catch four of his five targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7 when DK Metcalf injured his knee, but Metcalf was able to return last weekend and Goodwin had four catches for 33 yards and no scores. The 31-year-old was a speculative waiver-wire pickup when it was uncertain if Metcalf would miss any time, but Goodwin can now be returned to the wire in most single-year leagues. With him out this Sunday, Dee Eskridge and Dareke Young will fight for scraps behind Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

  • Marquise Goodwin Doesn't Practice Thursday

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (groin) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice. With back-to-back missed practices, the 31-year-old is trending in the wrong direction toward suiting up for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. DK Metcalf (knee) and Tyler Lockett (hamstring, ribs) were both full participants in Thursday's practice. Goodwin will have one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's contest. Dee Eskridge would see an uptick in targets if Goodwin is ruled out for Week 9.

  • Marquise Goodwin Dealing With A Groin Injury

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (groin) didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury. He was set for a more prominent role in Week 8 with DK Metcalf (knee) and Tyler Lockett (hamstring) dealing with injuries. Metcalf and Lockett were both active, and Goodwin was utilized as Seattle's WR3 in last Sunday's win over the Giants. The 31-year-old had four catches (on five targets) for 33 yards. Goodwin has two more chances to log a full practice ahead of Sunday's game. Goodwin is mainly an option in deep-league formats against the Cardinals in Week 9.
