Latavius Murray, Greg Dulcich Miss Practice

Denver Broncos running back Latavius Murray (rest) and rookie tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) were not seen at practice on Wednesday. Murray is just getting a veteran rest day, while Dulcich's status is up in the air for Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs after he was injured late in the Week 16 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Murray continues to lead Denver's backfield, but the return of Chase Edmonds could mean a more even backfield split in the final two regular season games. The 32-year-old Murray is nothing more than a touchdown-dependent, low-upside RB3/flex in the Broncos' low-scoring offense. If Dulcich is unable to get cleared this weekend, Eric Saubert, Eric Tomlinson and Albert Okwuegbunam will battle for more playing time.

Courtland Sutton, Latavius Murray Questionable For Week 16

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (hamstring) and running back Latavius Murray (foot) are both listed as questionable to play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16. Sutton and Murray were both able to practice on Friday, so they are on the right track to suit up on Christmas Day. Sutton has missed the last two games but should return to be one of quarterback Russell Wilson's top targets alongside Jerry Jeudy as long as he sees his normal snap count. If he plays, Sutton will be a shaky WR3/flex play with just one touchdown on the year. Murray missed practice on Thursday but should be OK to play this weekend as Denver's lead back. He went for over 100 yards rushing for the first time last week, but he'll face a stiffer test against the Rams run D. Consider Murray a touchdown-dependent RB2/3 if he's active.

    Latavius Murray Won't Practice Thursday

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that running back Latavius Murray (foot) and wide receiver Kendall Hinton (hamstring) will not practice on Thursday, but it's mostly precautionary with the team practicing on indoor turf. Murray was listed as limited in the first practice of the week on Wednesday, so this is technically a downgrade. The 32-year-old is dealing with some soreness in his foot, but as long as he practices on Friday, he should head into Sunday's Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles as Denver's lead back. If he's limited at all or out in Week 16, Marlon Mack would suddenly be on the RB2/3 borderline after scoring a touchdown in each of the last two weeks. Murray has mostly been a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex in Denver's weak offense in 2022.

    Latavius Murray Limited Wednesday

Denver Broncos running back Latavius Murray (foot) was listed as limited at practice Wednesday. He will have two more chances to log a full practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams. The 32-year-old logged 46 snaps in the Week 15 win over the Cardinals, logging 24 rushing attempts for 130 yards and a touchdown while catching one pass for 12 yards in last Sunday's win over Arizona. The veteran back draws a tough matchup against the Rams, who rank fifth in rush DVOA this season. Murray remains a borderline RB2 despite the tough matchup in the fantasy playoffs.

Latavius Murray Limited Again In Practice Thursday

Denver Broncos running back Latavius Murray (wrist) was limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Murray's status is worth watching heading into this weekend's game against the Carolina Panthers. If for some reason he's unable to play, the Broncos would be extremely thin in the backfield after releasing Melvin Gordon III earlier this week. Chase Edmonds (ankle) is on Injured Reserve. If he's active, Murray will be Denver's primary back and should be viewed as a low-end RB2 in Denver's anemic offense. With Gordon gone and Edmonds on the shelf, Marlon Mack is now the handcuff option for fantasy managers that have Murray rostered.

Broncos Sign Latavius Murray Off Saints Practice Squad

The Denver Broncos signed running back Latavius Murray off of the New Orleans Saints practice squad on Monday. Murray logged 11 rushes for 57 yards and a touchdown for the Saints against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 but he will now head to Denver to help fill out the running back room following the season-ending injury to Javonte Williams. Murray will join Melvin Gordon III and Mike Boone with the Broncos. It remains to be seen if Murray will have a role, or even suit up, against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5's Thursday night game after he just played in London on Sunday. Murray will be worth monitoring in fantasy in case he carves out a significant role with the Broncos.

    Latavius Murray Joins Saints

The New Orleans Saints have signed running back Latavius Murray to their practice squad. This doesn't come as a surprise after Mark Ingram II struggled in Week 1, while Alvin Kamara (ribs) continues to deal with a lingering injury. Murray spent two seasons with New Orleans before joining the Baltimore Ravens last season. In 14 games, Murray rushed for 501 yards on 119 attempts with six touchdowns in 2021. He could quickly be elevated to the active roster with the Saints backs struggling right now. He's worth monitoring in fantasy leagues, but this would likely turn into a committee situation.
