Logan Thomas Will Play In Week 13

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (rib) was removed from the final Week 13 injury report on Friday and will play on Sunday against the New York Giants. Thomas has been dealing with a rib injury for a while, but he'll suit up this weekend as the team's top pass-catching tight end. The 31-year-old has produced very little for the Commanders and fantasy managers this year, though, catching only 21 passes on 36 targets for 190 yards and one touchdown in nine games played. Injuries have continued to get in the way, but even when healthy, Thomas hasn't been on the starting fantasy radar at the thinnest position in fantasy. He'll be a low-upside TE2 streamer this weekend.

Logan Thomas Limited In Wednesday’s Practice

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (ribs) was limited on Wednesday. The nine-year veteran was expected to have a more active role in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons, but he ended up finishing with just one reception for seven yards. Thomas was limited for most of last week's practices, with the same rib issues ailing him right now, so there's a solid chance he suits up for Washington's Week 13 matchup against the New York Giants. However, keep an eye on his situation if you're relying on the 31-year-old as a tight end streamer.

Logan Thomas To Play In Week 12

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (ribs, illness) will be active for the Week 12 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. He missed practice time this week due to a ribs issue and minor illness. The 31-year-old is feeling good enough to play on Sunday, which is good news for this offense. Last week, Thomas hauled in five of his six targets for 65 yards. Outside of that, Thomas has struggled to produce on a weekly basis. He'll be a desperation deep league play for this Week 12 matchup.

Logan Thomas Expected To Suit Up On Sunday

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (rib, illness) is expected to play on Sunday against Atlanta, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 31-year-old has done little in terms of production this season, amassing 20 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown in seven games. That said, with so many injuries at the tight end position in Week 12, Thomas has a higher upside than most and warrants some consideration in deep fantasy formats.

Logan Thomas Questionable To Face Falcons

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (rib/illness) is officially questionable to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. Thomas hasn't had a prolific season, but with Kyle Pitts, Darren Waller, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert all on injured reserve, the tight end position is thin, so he's on the fantasy radar. The Falcons are just a neutral matchup for tight ends but are susceptible to the run and pass. That said, consider Thomas a low-end TE2 or TE3 if active. If he's out, John Bates should be the lead tight end, but it'll probably just mean more targets for Commanders' wide receivers.

Curtis Samuel, Logan Thomas Available For Week 11

Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (shin) and tight end Logan Thomas (ribs) are both available for the Week 11 matchup against the Houston Texans. There was some concern that they might miss this game after getting in limited practice sessions this week. However, it appears both players will be ready to play, barring any setbacks. Samuel doesn't have the same flex appeal that he used to with Jahan Dotson healthy right now. Despite that, Samuel could still have some low-end flex appeal because of how bad the Texans secondary looks at the moment. Thomas has barely made an impact and isn't worth a look in almost any fantasy formats.

Curtis Samuel, Logan Thomas Limited Wednesday

Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (shin) and tight end Logan Thomas (rib) were both listed as limited participants in Wednesday's practice. We'll continue to monitor their statuses throughout the week, but barring any setbacks, both Samuel and Thomas should be able to play in Week 11 against the Houston Texans. Samuel has 47 catches on 70 targets for 483 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games in 2022 after an injury marred 2021 campaign. However, he's become less attractive as a flex play with rookie Jahan Dotson back in the picture. Thomas has just 15 receptions (27 targets) for 118 yards and one touchdown in seven games this year and is off the streaming radar at the position for now.

    Logan Thomas Limited On Wednesday

Washington Commanders tight ends Logan Thomas (calf) and Cole Turner (concussion) were both limited in practice on Wednesday. Thomas returned to action in the Week 8 win over the Indianapolis Colts to halt a three-game absence. He played 56 percent of the offensive snaps in his first game back, but he wasn't targeted by quarterback Taylor Heinicke. The 31-year-old should play again this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and should have a larger role in the passing attack. However, until the Commanders start to involve Thomas more through the air, he'll be a low-end TE2 in fantasy. In five games so far in 2022, he has just 13 catches on 20 targets for 106 yards and one trip to pay dirt.

Logan Thomas Active, Dyami Brown Inactive For Week 8

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile, wide receiver Dyami Brown (groin) is inactive. Thomas is slated to suit up for the first time since Week 4 when he caught five passes for 19 yards. He ranks as a mid-to-low TE2 in fantasy football this week. Meanwhile, Brown joins fellow wideout Jahan Dotson (hamstring) on the inactives list. Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel will lead Washington's receiving corps on Sunday.

Logan Thomas Expected To Play In Week 8

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) is expected to play on Sunday against the Colts. Thomas missed his last three games due to a calf injury and has been riding a questionable tag heading into this one. However, barring a setback, he should be good to go and see some looks from Taylor Heinicke, especially with Jahan Dotson (hamstring) out again. The 31-year-old hasn't had the best season, catching only 13 passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. While Thomas' production hasn't been the best, his upside is still higher than others at the tight end position for Week 8.

Logan Thomas Questionable To Face Colts

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) is questionable for the team's Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. Thomas has missed the past three games, so his return could mean a boost for Taylor Heinicke and the Washington offense. Although Thomas isn't a great option at tight end, he's on the fantasy radar with notable tight ends Travis Kelce and Gerald Everett on a bye. There are also several key tight ends banged up, so some fantasy managers might be forced to start him if he's active.

Logan Thomas, Dyami Brown Limited Wednesday

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) and wide receiver Dyami Brown (groin) were both listed as limited participants in Wednesday's practice. Thomas has missed the last three games, but he could be on his way to a return in a Week 8 contest against the Indianapolis Colts on the road. John Bates and Cole Turner (concussion) have been seeing more usage with Thomas sidelined, but neither have been realistic starting options for fantasy managers. If Thomas returns this Sunday, he'll be a touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer. Brown missed the Week 7 win over the Green Bay Packers and will be a limited deep threat for quarterback Taylor Heinicke if he's back this weekend.

Logan Thomas, Dyami Brown Ruled Out

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) and wide receiver Dyami Brown (groin) have been ruled out for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, tight end John Bates (hamstring) is questionable to play, so Washington could be down to rookies Cole Turner and Armani Rogers at the position on Sunday. Thomas will be missing his second straight contest with his calf injury. Brown had two catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 but then came back down to Earth with no catches on one target in last week's win over the Chicago Bears. With rookie Jahan Dotson (hamstring) in danger of missing another game, Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel could be peppered with targets by quarterback Taylor Heinicke in Week 7.

Logan Thomas Working On Side Field

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) is working on a side field on Wednesday with a trainer. Thomas will either be listed as limited or as a non-participant in practice to begin the week. He has now missed the team's last two games and is no lock to return in Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday. Thomas has already been dropped in most 12-team leagues, as he's recorded just 13 catches on 20 targets for 106 yards and one touchdown in his four games played. With Thomas out in last Thursday's win over the Chicago Bears, Cole Turner led Washington's tight ends by catching both of his targets for 23 yards. Washington's tight end position can be ignored for now in 12-team fantasy leagues.

Logan Thomas To Miss Week 6

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) did not suit up in Week 5 and will again be sidelined for the team's Week 6 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Thomas opened the week as a limited practice participant on Monday but has not practiced since. The 31-year-old will be replaced by John Bates in the starting lineup, who finished with three catches for 39 yards last week in Thomas' absence. Bates has been targeted in every game this season, but he is still off the fantasy radar for Thursday night in all but the deepest of leagues.

Jahan Dotson, Logan Thomas Not Practicing Tuesday

Washington Commanders rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson (hamstring) and tight end Logan Thomas (calf) are not practicing on Tuesday. Dotson was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated practice report, while Thomas was listed as limited. It remains to be seen if they will be available on a short week for Thursday night's clash with the Chicago Bears. Both Dotson and Thomas were inactive in the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans. The biggest beneficiary of Washington's passing attack on Sunday was Dyami Brown, who caught two of his four targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns while playing a season-high 32 percent of the offensive snaps. Check back on Wednesday for a better idea on whether Dotson or Thomas will play in Week 6.

Logan Thomas Listed As Limited On Monday

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) was listed as limited on Monday's practice report. The team didn't actually practice on Monday, but it's noteworthy on a short week. Thomas was inactive for Week 5, so there's a chance he's not ready to play the Chicago Bears on Thursday. The 31-year-old would be a low-end streaming option, assuming he's able to play this week. Fantasy managers will need to check back for another update.

Logan Thomas Won't Play In Week 5

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) has been ruled out for the Week 5 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. The 25-year-old tested his calf pregame and decided he wasn't healthy enough to suit up. His absence probably won't mean too much for the backup tight ends. However, the wide receivers in Washington should see more attention without Thomas on the field. Hopefully, Thomas will be able to suit up for Week 6.

Logan Thomas Questionable For Week 5

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) is listed as questionable for the Week 5 contest against the Tennessee Titans. Thomas was added to the injury report on Thursday and could be in danger of missing Sunday's game. He caught a season-high five passes on six targets for just 19 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and he played 74 percent of the offensive snaps. If he plays, Thomas will be a TE2 with some upside now that receiver Jahan Dotson (hamstring) has already been ruled out. If Thomas doesn't get the green light against Tennessee, John Bates should operate as Washington's top pass-catching tight end.

Logan Thomas Suiting Up In Week 1

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) is officially active for Week 1 again the Jacksonville Jaguars. This was expected, but it's still refreshing to receive confirmation from the team. With a relatively tough matchup on tap, Thomas falls into the mid-to-low TE2 range. His fantasy success is likely dependent on a touchdown, something that can't be guaranteed. Fantasy managers should look for better options this week.

Logan Thomas Will Suit Up On Sunday

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) will play on Sunday versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 31-year-old had been questionable, so the update is positive news for fantasy managers. However, it's not good for John Bates or Cole Turner (hamstring), players who could have benefited without Thomas in the lineup. Nevertheless, Thomas is a hit-or-miss fantasy option in Week 1, so starting him in any format is risky, even with a favorable matchup on tap.

Logan Thomas Questionable For Week 1

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 1 of the regular season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Thomas has made significant progress after he tore his ACL last season. He first took part in seven-on-seven drills on Aug. 24 and was limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday of this week. If Thomas is ruled out on Sunday morning, John Bates will be Washington's primary pass-catching tight end. The 31-year-old reportedly has developed nice chemistry with new quarterback Carson Wentz, but with his status up in the air this weekend, fantasy managers should be looking to avoid Thomas as a low-end TE2.

Logan Thomas Listed As Limited Wednesday

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Thomas suffered a torn ACL tear last season and was working to return from it all offseason. He recently said that he hopes to return in Week 1 or 2, so he's not necessarily a lock to suit up this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. And if the 31-year-old is active, he may not play a full complement of snaps, making him avoidable as a TE1 streamer for the week. If Thomas doesn't play or is limited against the Jags, John Bates should have a bigger role on offense. The fact that Thomas is already practicing this week, though, is a good sign that he'll be ready for the regular season opener.

Logan Thomas Up In The Air For Season Opener

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) said his knee feels good, but no decision has been made yet about whether he'll play in the Week 1 regular season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. If Thomas doesn't play this weekend, he's likely to make his season debut in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. The 31-year-old tore his left ACL last year, but he should be ready to go at some point early in the year if he's not ready for Week 1. Washington's other tight ends, John Bates (calf) and Cole Turner (hamstring) are also injured, so they are pretty beat up at the position. Even if Thomas suits up against Jacksonville this weekend, fantasy managers should look elsewhere to kick off the 2022 season at the position.

Logan Thomas Likely To Return By Week 2

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) was activated off the PUP list early last week. He has done a fantastic job of working his way back from a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered in December. There is some hope that Thomas could get on the field for the season opener. However, it sounds like a more realistic option is getting into game action in Week 2. Regardless, it appears that the Commanders will have Thomas back on the field early in the season. This is great news considering the Commanders don't have too many reliable options on offense. He could find his way into the TE1 conversation, so fantasy managers should keep their eye on Thomas.

Logan Thomas Activated Off PUP List

Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (knee) has been activated off the PUP list on Monday. This is great news as the Commanders desperately need Thomas back on the field. He's working his way back from a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered back in December. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking to see the team take it slow with Thomas. When healthy, Thomas is the unquestionable No. 1 tight end on this roster. In 2020, he recorded 72 receptions, 760 receiving yards, and six touchdowns through 16 games with Washington. The hope is that he'll be able to continue making a high impact after his serious knee injury. He's worth rostering in deep league and dynasty formats at the moment, but his value could quickly rise.
