  Curtis Samuel Out Again, Jahan Dotson On Side Field

  Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (illness) was absent for the second straight day on Thursday with an illness. Meanwhile, Jahan Dotson (hamstring) was present but working on a side field, so he'll likely be listed as a DNP for the second straight day. Samuel could still be fine for Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans, but he'll need to return to practice on Friday. Head coach Ron Rivera already said that Dotson could miss a week or two, so fantasy managers need to plan for him to miss this weekend, at the very least. If Samuel is unable to play, too, Dyami Brown would have a big-time opportunity alongside Terry McLaurin, while tight end Logan Thomas would have a much higher fantasy ceiling as well.

  Curtis Samuel Misses Practice With Illness

  Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel (illness) missed practice on Wednesday with a non-COVID-19-related illness. As long as Samuel is able to return to practice in the next two days, he should have a good shot at playing in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. After a rough injury plagued year in his first season in D.C. in 2021 in which he played in just five total games, Samuel has bounced back so far in 2022, catching 26 of 37 targets for 219 yards and two touchdowns through four weeks. If he's active this Sunday, he'll be in play as a solid WR3 option in PPR leagues. The 26-year-old will have even more fantasy upside with Jahan Dotson (hamstring) likely to miss some time due to injury.
