  Najee Harris Gets Another DNP, Benny Snell Jr. Limited

  Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (oblique) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday, while running back Benny Snell Jr. (knee) popped up on the injury report after putting in a limited practice. Harris picked up an oblique injury that isn't considered serious in Monday night's win over the Indianapolis Colts, but he's looking very iffy for Sunday's game versus the Atlanta Falcons. Snell and Anthony McFarland Jr. combined to split the backfield work on Monday when Harris departed. Rookie Jaylen Warren (hamstring) was inactive in Week 12 and has been cleared to return this weekend, so if Harris is out, there's a good chance that Warren will lead Pittsburgh's backfield this Sunday.

  Jaylen Warren Surpasses Benny Snell Jr. As No. 2 RB

  It appears that Pittsburgh Steelers undrafted rookie running back Jaylen Warren has supplanted Benny Snell Jr. as the team's No. 2 running back behind Najee Harris. Warren has done nothing but impress at training camp and has benefitted from first-team repetitions with Harris and Snell banged up a bit. The 23-year-old probably isn't worth anything more than a late-round flier as a handcuff for those that take Harris early in deeper leagues, but he could see significant work in Pittsburgh's backfield in his rookie season if anything were to happen to Harris. Warren had six carries for 34 yards and caught four of his five targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener last week. He's rising up draft boards in dynasty/keeper leagues.
