KJ Hamler Won't Return This Year

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) will not return to play this year after suffering a setback with his hamstring injury when he slipped while running on indoor turf. Hamler was placed on Injured Reserve last week, so he would've been eligible to return for the regular season finale in Week 18. Before he had aggravated his hamstring injury, the 23-year-old speedster had missed the previous three games. The former second-rounder in 2020 hasn't panned out for Denver, and injuries have mostly been to blame. Hamler played in just three games in 2021 due to a torn ACL and will finish the 2022 campaign with only seven catches on 14 targets for 165 yards and no touchdowns. He hasn't scored a touchdown since finding the end zone three times in his rookie year.

KJ Hamler Placed On Injured Reserve

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) has been placed on the injured reserve. The 23-year-old reportedly suffered a setback during his rehab from his hamstring injury. He has already missed the last three games and will now miss an additional four games. Hamler will be eligible to play in Week 17, but it's likely that the Broncos just shut him down for the season. Kendall Hinton should benefit without Hamler on the field going forward.

    KJ Hamler Suffers A Setback

Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury that has kept him out since Week 8. Hamler hasn't practiced yet this week and remains sidelined indefinitely. The 23-year-old speedy deep threat continues to be hampered by injuries early in his career, and he should be on the waiver wire in all single-year fantasy leagues. In seven games played in 2022, he has only seven catches on 14 targets for 165 yards and no touchdowns. With Jerry Jeudy (ankle) also hurt, Kendall Hinton has emerged as the Broncos' No. 2 pass-catcher behind Courtland Sutton in this broken offense. Brandon Johnson emerged for his first career touchdown in Week 12.

KJ Hamler To Miss Some Time

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) will miss the next few weeks, according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett. The third-year receiver missed last week's 17-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans because of the injury. Unfortunately, injuries aren't anything new to Hamler. The former Penn State wide receiver has missed 16 games over the past two years because of injuries. With Jerry Jeudy (ankle) also dealing with an injury, Kendall Hinton and Jalen Virgil could see an increase in snaps and targets this week against the Las Vegas Raiders.

KJ Hamler Ruled Out Against Titans

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Week 10 contest against the Tennessee Titans. Hamler was injured in practice on Wednesday and didn't practice the rest of the week. With Kendall Hinton (illness) questionable, the Broncos could be short-handed on receiving depth behind starters Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy this weekend. If Hinton is unable to play, Montrell Washington will likely serve as the No. 3 wideout. Hamler has no business being rostered in 12-team fantasy leagues, as he's recorded just seven catches on 14 targets for 165 yards and no touchdowns in seven games this year in the Broncos' disappointing offense. His absence will open up a few targets for Denver's other pass-catchers against Tennessee.

KJ Hamler Active For Sunday Night

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) is officially active for Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3. Hamler entered this one listed as questionable after he sat out of the Week 2 win over the Houston Texans last Sunday. The 23-year-old failed to haul in his only target in the season opener and should be far away from starting fantasy lineups on Sunday night, especially with Jerry Jeudy (ribs, shoulder) returning to action. The Niners defense has also been pretty stingy through two weeks, so the Broncos offense could have plenty of trouble moving the ball consistently in this one. Hamler could have some deep connections with quarterback Russell Wilson throughout the year, but they'll most likely be completely unpredictable.

KJ Hamler Limited In Practice On Wednesday

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. This is an encouraging sign for Hamler, who was held out of Week 2 as a precaution after missing practice for the entirety of last week. Fellow Broncos wideout Jerry Jeudy (ribs, shoulder) was forced to miss practice on Wednesday, so Hamler could be in line for a great opportunity if he is able to suit up sans Jeudy. In this situation, Hamler could be viewed as an intriguing deep-league flex option in a Sunday night showdown against the San Francisco 49ers.

KJ Hamler Won't Play In Week 2

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) will not play in Week 2 against the Houston Texans as a maintenance precaution, according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Hamler was unable to practice all week after failing to haul in his only target in the Week 1 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The 23-year-old tore his ACL early last year and still is not 100 percent. He could eventually become a nice deep threat for quarterback Russell Wilson, but for now, he can be left to the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues. With Hamler inactive, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam will receive slight boosts. Running backs Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon III could be more involved in the passing game as well.

KJ Hamler Working On Side Field

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) was seen working on a side field Friday. Hamler, who returned from an ACL tear in Week 1 but did not catch a pass, has not practiced this week. He appears to be a longshot to play against the Texans in Week 2. If he is indeed absent, Tyrie Cleveland would operate as the No. 3 receiver behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

    KJ Hamler Doesn't Practice Wednesday

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) didn't practice on Wednesday. He was questionable heading into Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks with knee and hip injuries but ended up suiting up. The 23-year-old logged 40 snaps but was unable to secure his only target. Hamler is third on the WR depth chart behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. The 2020 second-round pick will look to practice in some fashion on Thursday. Hamler is far down the receiving pecking order and is mainly a stash in dynasty leagues for now.

KJ Hamler Active On Monday Night

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) is officially active for the Week 1 season opener on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Outside linebacker Randy Gregory (shoulder) is also active and will be making his Broncos debut. Hamler suffered a torn ACL in Week 3 of 2021, but he is ready to roll to kick off the 2022 season. The 23-year-old speedy deep threat will have perhaps more fantasy upside than he's ever had with quarterback Russell Wilson in town. However, as Denver's No. 3 pass-catcher behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, Hamler's fantasy production will probably be sporadic, at best. Entering Monday night's matchup in Seattle, Hamler will be a boom/bust WR4/5 in deeper leagues.

KJ Hamler Expected To Play Monday Night

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) is expected to play on Monday night in the Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, according to a source. Outside linebacker Randy Gregory (knee, shoulder) is also expected to play, and both have looked good in practice this week. Hamler said he feels every bit himself speed-wise. The 23-year-old was officially listed as questionable to play in Seattle, but it would be a surprise if he's inactive. The third-year wideout tore his ACL early in the 2021 season, but he's looking to bounce back in a big way as a deep threat for quarterback Russell Wilson this year. Hamler could have some big games if he connects deep with Wilson, but predicting those performances could be impossible. As the No. 3 wideout behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, he'll be an unpredictable WR4/5 in deeper leagues.

KJ Hamler Questionable For Week 1

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for the Week 1 regular season opener on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Hamler tore his ACL in Week 3 of last year, but he played in the team's preseason finale and appears to be trending in the right direction to suit up on Monday night. The 23-year-old former second-round pick could have success connecting with quarterback Russell Wilson deep down the field in 2022, but Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy will command plenty of targets, as well as tight end Albert Okwuegbunam. Hamler could have some big games, but it will be hard to rely on him consistently in fantasy leagues as the No. 3 wideout. It's hard to recommend Hamler for starting lineups in Week 1.

K.J. Hamler Questionable For Week 1

Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee, hip) was limited on practice Saturday and is officially listed as questionable heading into Monday Night Football versus the Seattle Seahawks. Hamler missed most of 2021 with a torn ACL but caught 30 passes for 381 yards and three touchdowns the year prior. As the No. 3 receiver in the Broncos' strong offense, Hamler will certainly have some fantasy relevant games this season. However, their frequency still might be hard to predict, especially given Hamler's big-play, downfield style. If there's ever a time to do it, it's Russell Wilson's revenge game, but there's too much risk in play here. You shouldn't start Hamler, and he can be left on waivers in most leagues.
