  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire Goes On Injured Reserve

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday with a high-ankle sprain that he suffered in Sunday night's win over the Los Angeles Chargers. It means that Edwards-Helaire will miss at least the next four games for the Chiefs, which basically makes him droppable in single-year leagues. CEH's injury makes both rookie Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon more attractive in fantasy, while Ronald Jones will serve in a change-of-pace RB3 role for KC moving forward. Expect Pacheco to lead the Chiefs backfield now, with McKinnon being more of the third-down/pass-catching back. It has been another disappointing season for Edwards-Helaire, as he has just 71 carries for 302 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and three rushing TDs in 10 games played, adding 17 catches for 151 yards and three more scores.

  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire Downgraded To Out Sunday

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers. He exited the game in the first quarter after rushing two times for nine yards. Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon should have no trouble filling in for Edwards-Helaire during his absence.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) is questionable to return against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. He exited the game in the first quarter after rushing two times for nine yards. Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon should have no trouble filling in for Edwards-Helaire during his absence.

  • Isiah Pacheco To Start Over Clyde Edwards-Helaire Sunday

Kansas City Chiefs rookie running back Isiah Pacheco took first-team reps during practice and is expected to draw his first career start against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. As a result, Clyde Edwards-Helaire will operate as the No. 2 back. Both players are still expected to see significant snaps. Pacheco, who was viewed as a rising star during training camp, has amassed 158 scrimmage yards through six games in a depth role. Meanwhile, Edwards-Helaire has 256 rushing yards, 137 receiving yards, and five touchdowns this season. However, his productivity has declined as of late; he has just 68 total yards and zero touchdowns over the course of his last two contests. Both backs should be viewed as RB3 options in fantasy football this week.

  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire Atop The RB Depth Chart

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is clearly atop the running back depth chart, according to ESPN's Adam Teicher. However, it seems as though rookie Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon could carve out significant roles based on their strong play in training camp and the preseason. But the Chiefs haven't committed to anything behind Edwards-Helaire. With Pacheco and McKinnon standing out, it's bad news for Ronald Jones, who didn't play in the first half of the most recent preseason game and didn't get the ball once when he was on the field. CEH's fantasy stock has fallen after the former first-round has disappointed in his first two seasons, but it's mainly been due to injuries. The 23-year-old will have to play well to hold off Pacheco and McKinnon, but he's not a bad value as an RB3/flex.
