Austin Jackson On Injured Reserve, Dolphins Sign Eric Fisher
The Miami Dolphins placed offensive tackle Austin Jackson (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Monday and signed former No. 1 overall pick Eric Fisher in a corresponding move, according to league sources. This will be Jackson's second stint on the Injured Reserve this year due to an ankle injury, so there's a chance we won't see him again in 2022. The 23-year-old played just one game since he came off IR the first time, and the former first-rounder has played in just two games this year. Fisher started 15 games for the Indianapolis Colts in 2021 and could see significant playing time sooner than later in Miami with Terron Armstead (pectoral) also injured for the Dolphins offensive line.

Eichenberg suffered an MCL injury in the Week 8 win over the Detroit Lions and will now miss at least the next four games. Jackson has been out since getting injured in the season opener, and it remains to be seen if he'll be healthy enough to return to the starting right tackle job in a Week 9 matchup versus the Chicago Bears on the road. Greg Little and Brandon Shell have been filling in at right tackle with Jackson on the sidelines.

With the 23-year-old out of action for at least the next four contests, the Dolphins will likely ask Greg Little to fill in as the starter at right tackle, beginning in a tough Week 2 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens defense.
