Cardinals Sign Ty'Son Williams To Practice Squad
The Arizona Cardinals have signed free-agent running back Ty'Son Williams to their practice squad. After watching lead back James Conner and backup Darrel Williams exit Sunday's game against the Eagles due to injuries, the team appears to be bringing in some additional depth in case one or both players cannot suit up this week. The 26-year-old was one of several tailbacks they brought in for a workout, but so far, he is the only one they've elected to sign. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts to their practice squad in the offseason and spent two seasons as a Baltimore Raven before that. Even if both Conner and Williams are out, Eno Benjamin would be the starter, so this transaction has more implications for the health of those two than it does for Ty'Son Williams himself.
