Rashawn Slater Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater (biceps) has been designated to return from the injured reserve. Slater has been out since he tore his biceps tendon towards the end of September. He won't suit up for the playoff matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, Slater has a chance at returning during the postseason, assuming the Chargers advance. He would certainly give his offensive line a boost if he's able to get back on the field this season.

Rashawn Slater Could Return This Season
Los Angeles Chargers tackle Rashawn Slater (bicep) has a chance to return later this season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. While the initial plan was for Slater to miss the rest of the campaign, the Chargers will consider using one of their eight "return from IR" designations on him so that he can play late in the regular season and into the playoffs. In the meantime, Jamaree Salyer, a sixth-round rookie out of Georgia, will start at left tackle.

Rashawn Slater Expected To Miss Rest Of The Season
Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl left tackle Rashawn Slater (biceps) suffered a ruptured left biceps tendon in the Week 3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to a source. It's a brutal loss for the offensive line and the Chargers offense as a whole, especially with quarterback Justin Herbert playing through a painful ribs injury that he suffered in the Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Slater was the team's first-round pick in 2021 and made the Pro Bowl in his first NFL season. The Chargers may be forced to turn to Storm Norton to protect Herbert's blind side moving forward, which could cause plenty of protection issues, starting in Week 4 against the Houston Texans.

Rashawn Slater Injured In Week 3 Loss
Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater (biceps) sustained a bicep injury and exited in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was replaced by six-year veteran Storm Norton. Unfortunately, the injury could be significant as the 2021 first-round NFL Draft selection was spotted after the game with his arm in a sling. More information on Slater's injury should be revealed early this week, but the Chargers will surely miss the Pro Bowler for as long as he is sidelined.
