Bailey Zappe Expected To Start Against Detroit
New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe is expected to make his first career start against Detroit on Sunday. Mac Jones (ankle) is doubtful, and Brian Hoyer (concussion) is on injured reserve, so head coach Bill Belichick will turn to the 2022 fourth-round pick to handle things under center. The 23-year-old came in for relief when Hoyer went down in Week 4 against Green Bay and finished with 99 yards and a touchdown off 66.7% passing. Although the Lions defense has allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, Zappe shouldn't be in any lineup in Week 5 unless managers have nowhere else to turn.
