Greg Dulcich's Rookie Season Comes To An End

The Denver Broncos placed rookie tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) on Injured Reserve on Friday, ending his rookie season with two games left to play. The 22-year-old third-rounder had a delayed start to his first NFL season due to injury, as he didn't debut until Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He came out of the gates firing with 44 yards and a touchdown on two receptions in his first game, but he didn't score again until last week's blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Dulcich was an up-and-down TE2 streamer in his 10 games played, mostly due to the Broncos' anemic offense led by quarterback Russell Wilson. However, Dulcich has intriguing long-term upside as a pass-catcher and will be an interesting QB1/2 bench stash in fantasy drafts in 2023. Eric Saubert will likely play a bigger pass-catching role with Dulcich out the rest of the way, but Eric Tomlinson and Albert Okwuegbunam could also be involved.

Greg Dulcich Dealing With Hamstring Injury

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich left the Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Rams early and is reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury. The rookie tight end has impressed in spots this season, totaling 33 receptions for 411 yards and three touchdowns thus far, despite missing the first five weeks of the regular season. If Dulcich has to miss time, Eric Saubert and Eric Tomlinson will see more time at tight end, but neither would be on the fantasy radar. The fallout of Dulcich's absence would mean more targets for Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy in Week 17.

Broncos Activate Greg Dulcich, Justin Simmons

The Denver Broncos activated rookie tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring), safety Justin Simmons (quadriceps) and cornerback Michael Ojemudia (elbow) from Injured Reserve in time for their Monday night showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Dulcich making his NFL debut on Monday, the Broncos have made Albert Okwuegbunam a healthy scratch. Eric Saubert will likely be the team's top receiving tight end against LA, but Dulcich could carve out a bigger role as a pass-catcher as the season progresses. Those that were stashing Okwuegbunam in deeper leagues can cut bait now. Simmons, an All-Pro safety, gives Denver's secondary a huge boost against a Chargers offense that remains without receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring).

Greg Dulcich, Justin Simmons Designated To Return From IR

The Denver Broncos have designated rookie tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring), safety Justin Simmons (quadriceps) and cornerback Michael Ojemudia (elbow) to return from Injured Reserve. The Broncos will have 21 days to officially activate all three players from IR. Dulcich, 22, has been dealing with a hamstring injury since training camp. Once he makes his NFL debut, he'll be an option to take snaps and targets away from Albert Okwuegbunam and Eric Saubert. Simmons has been on IR since Sept. 14 and could return as early as Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6. The 28-year-old All-Pro's return will be a huge boost to Denver's secondary, although their defense/special teams should be avoided in Week 6 on the road against the Bolts.

Greg Dulcich Stays On Injured Reserve In Week 5

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) is staying on IR for another week. There were rumors that the rookie tight end could be making his season debut in Week 5 Thursday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts. However, the Broncos have decided to play it safe with their short week and hold off on activating him from IR. With the former UCLA Bruin expected to return in Week 6, he could be in line to make a quick impact. The tight end room in Denver is wide open, especially with supposed starter Albert Okwuegbunam playing just one snap in the entirety of Week 4. Dulcich could be an interesting speculative stash for fantasy managers in need of tight-end production. Make sure to keep an eye on him ahead of his upcoming season debut.

Greg Dulcich Could Practice Next Week

Denver Broncos rookie tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) has yet to make his regular season NFL debut after being placed on Injured Reserve ahead of Week 1 with a hamstring injury. On Friday, head coach Nathaniel Hackett stated that there is a "good chance" that Dulcich will come off of IR and practice next week. Dulcich was a third-round draft pick by the Broncos and was generating some hype in training camp. He is a name to monitor but can be left on waivers for now in normal redraft leagues, as the team has plenty of weapons. Albert Okwuegbunam's fantasy value would likely take a hit if Dulcich suits up in Week 5.

Greg Dulcich Placed On Injured Reserve

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) has been placed on the injured reserve on Tuesday. The third-round pick was quickly gaining hype during training camp. That will come to a halt as Dulcich will miss at least the first four games of the season. That means, Albert Okwuegbunam could see more looks coming his way without Dulcich there competing for targets. Possibly, Dulcich has fantasy value once he returns, but he'll lose most of his momentum. Right now, Dulcich can be forgotten in re-draft formats considering he'll miss the first four games.
