TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (back) still hasn't been fully cleared to play while suffering from a lower back contusion and is in danger of missing his third consecutive game. The 24-year-old has a clear path to plenty of playing time if he can get back to the court since Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson remain sidelined. If he can't suit up, Trey Murphy III and Naji Marshall are the safest streaming options on the team.

TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (back) has been given the questionable tag for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Since leaving Monday's contest with a back injury, he hasn't been able to take the court again. During that time, he's only missed one game so far but is in danger of missing his second. If he remains sidelined, Naji Marshall and Trey Murphy III would be the best streaming options on the team.
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Brandon Ingram (toe) remains out against Detroit. It appears he's nearing a return after missing over a month of action. However, he won't be available on Friday night, making CJ McCollum the favorite to lead the way offensively. Zion Williamson (hamstring) also won't suit up, so guys like Naji Marshall, Dyson Daniels, and Trey Murphy III may continue to benefit, although all three are risky fantasy options.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (back) won't suit up against Detroit. Jones will now miss his second consecutive contest because of a back contusion, meaning Dyson Daniels should remain in the starting lineup. The 19-year-old has averaged only 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in six starts this season. However, with Brandon Ingram (toe) and Zion Williamson (back) also out, Daniels could be more productive.
Tuesday, January 10
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Herbert Jones played only the first half against Washington on Monday, exiting with a lower back contusion. He took a hard fall and initially tried to play through it, but Jones was unable to take the court after the halftime break. He finished the clash with five points and one steal in 13 minutes. It was a quiet night for Jones, but he has been a great asset in general for the Pelicans and fantasy managers alike, averaging 10.0 points with 3.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals. Dyson Daniels started the second half in his replacement but didn't really have an impact. It's currently unknown if the injury affects Jones' long-term availability.
Monday, January 09
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. (shoulder) is available for Monday's game against the Washington Wizards. The veteran forward has been banged up lately and only played in three of the last 11 games. Nance has struggled heavily during those games, so he won't be a recommended streaming option on Monday. His return should mean less playing time for Jaxson Hayes and Willy Hernangomez. The expectation is that Nance is fully available for this game, but fantasy managers can stream him at their own risk.
Sunday, January 08
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans center Jonas Valanciunas (hand) is available for Saturday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man has been cleared for this game despite dealing with a sprained right hand. The expectation is that he'll be in the starting five and could see an expanded role on Saturday. The Pelicans are without Larry Nance Jr. (shoulder), so Valanciunas and Willy Hernangomez could see bigger roles during this contest. Between the two, Valanciunas is the better streaming option, but neither player is a great choice.
Saturday, January 07
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. (shoulder) is available for Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The 30-year-old is set to return after missing each of the last four games due to right shoulder soreness. Fellow forward Willy Hernangomez (ankle) is also available for Friday's contest. That means, Jaxson Hayes is likely to see a reduced role with the Pelicans getting healthy. Hayes won't have much streaming appeal with Nance and Hernangomez healthy right now.
Friday, January 06
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. The veteran forward is in danger of missing his fifth straight game due to right shoulder soreness. It's also worth noting that Willy Hernangomez (ankle) is considered questionable for this contest. Both Hernangomez and Jaxson Hayes have been gaining fantasy value with Zion Williamson and Nance out. The Pelicans are banged up right now, so Hayes and Naji Marshall could be asked to play heavy minutes on Friday. Fantasy managers should check back on Friday for another update on Nance and Hernangomez.
Tuesday, January 03
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hamstring) was ruled out of Monday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers after suffering a hamstring strain. Williamson appeared to suffer the injury at some point in the fourth quarter and it was severe enough for him to be ruled out. Naji Marshall would likely be inserted to the starting lineup if Williamson misses any time. Jonas Valanciunas should also see a boost in fantasy value.
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Zion Williamson (hamstring) is expected to miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury. Williamson left Monday's game with a hamstring strain and now faces an uphill battle to recovery within the next few weeks. This is obviously a huge blow to New Orleans and fantasy managers everywhere as Williamson was playing some of his best basketball on the season. Naji Marshall is likely going to be inserted to the starting lineup while Jonas Valanciunas should also see a boost in value.
Sunday, January 01
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (conditioning) is expected to suit up for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The 24-year-old was cleared to play on Friday, but ended up sitting out of the contest. It sounds like Jones was still struggling with his conditioning, but will play on Saturday without limitations. His return should push Naji Marshall back to the bench, which means he won't be as appealing of a streaming option anymore.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Trey Murphy III (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is good to go after only playing 20 minutes on Friday due to a right ankle sprain. The 22-year-old appears to be fine and should remain in the starting five on Saturday. Herbert Jones (conditioning) is returning on Saturday, so Naji Marshall will head to the bench and won't have much value anymore.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. (neck) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He was forced to exit early on Wednesday due to neck spasms. Nance wasn't able to suit up on Friday and will miss this game as well due to the same injury. His absence will mean more playing time for Jaxson Hayes and Willy Hernangomez. Between the two, Hernangomez is the better streaming option, but both players could have short term value while Nance is out.
Saturday, December 31
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Larry Nance Jr. (neck) has been officially ruled out of Friday's matchup against Philadelphia. There has a possibility of him being available, with the team initially regarding him as doubtful for the contest, but Nance Jr. hasn't been able to shake off a neck problem. His absence should open up more minutes for Jaxson Hayes, while frontcourt starters Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas are bound to get a heavier workload as well in a tough matchup.
Friday, December 30
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Larry Nance Jr. (neck) has been tagged as doubtful to play in Friday's game against Philadelphia due to neck spasms. Nance has seen both his minutes and offensive usage slide over the previous two outings, including his second scoreless appearance of the month Wednesday. While Jaxson Hayes could see an uptick in usage off the bench, Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas figure to continue receiving elevated offensive looks in the frontcourt. Nance remains on the periphery of season-long roster consideration despite shooting a career-best 64.1 percent from the floor this year as he has taken fewer than six shots per outing.
Tuesday, December 27
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (conditioning) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The star forward was doubtful heading into this game as he works his way back into game shape. He missed each of the last two games due to the league's health and safety protocols. Naji Marshall should remain in the starting five with Williamson on the sideline. He's worth a look as a streaming option with the Pelicans shorthanded on Monday.
Monday, December 26
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard Trey Murphy III (illness) is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers. He was a late addition to the injury report due to a non-COVID related illness. This is not good news with Brandon Ingram (toe) and Herbert Jones (illness) ruled out. Also, Zion Williamson (conditioning) is doubtful and Dyson Daniels (illness), Larry Nance (Achilles) are questionable. Naji Marshall is set to have an increased workload and is a possible streaming option if Murphy sits out as well.
Sunday, December 25
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (protocols) is no longer listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers. Williamson is on track to play after a two-game absence. Williamson's return would likely move Naji Marshall to bench and take some offensive opportunities away from Jonas Valanciunas.
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Larry Nance Jr. (Achilles) is questionable to play Monday against the Indiana Pacers. Nance has been dealing with Achilles soreness and has not played since December 17th, but may have a chance to come back on Monday. If Nance is able to go, he will likely eat into Jonas Valanciunas's minutes.
Friday, December 23
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. (Achilles) won't suit up for Thursday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. This marks the second game in a row that Nance will miss due to right Achilles soreness. This is bad timing with Zion Williamson out as well due to health and safety protocols. Naji Marshall will move into the starting five and be asked to play significant minutes on Thursday. In four starts this season, Marshall has averaged 15.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists. He's certainly worth a look as a streaming option with the Pelicans shorthanded.
New Orleans Pelicans power forward Zion Williamson (health and safety protocols) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Thunder, marking his second straight absence. Naji Marshall stepped into the starting five Thursday but saw around his traditional workload, not moving the needle on his DFS upside. CJ McCollum reaped the offensive benefits of Williamson (and Brandon Ingram) being sidelined, dropping a season-high 40 points. Williamson has returned to All-Star form this season, averaging 25.2 PPG all while shooting 60.2 percent overall. His next chance to return to action comes Monday vs. Indiana.
New Orleans Pelicans point guard CJ McCollum (calf) has been deemed questionable to suit up for Friday's contest against the Thunder due to a sore right calf. McCollum presumably battled through the ailment Thursday en route to dropping a season-high 40 points as the Pelicans played without Zion Williamson (health and safety protocols) and Brandon Ingram (toe), which will again be the case Friday. An absence from McCollum would open up the entire New Orleans depth chart to become upside DFS plays, while Jose Alvarado would likely garner a sizable minutes load in the backcourt. Fantasy managers will want to check back prior to tip-off for the final word on McCollum.
Thursday, December 22
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Larry Nance Jr. (Achilles) was officially given the questionable tag with a sore right achilles. The 29-year-old could have a big role if he is able to get on the court now that Zion Williamson has been ruled out. Right now, fantasy managers will have to stay tuned to hear about any updates on Nance playing or not. If he doesn't play, Herbert Jones and Naji Marshall are the two to use as streaming options, otherwise, Nance could be a good play for a game or two while Williamson is out.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (health and safety protocols) will have to miss the team's Thursday night contest against the San Antonio Spurs. Williamson entered the health and safety protocols recently and will have to miss at least one game. The team has been off since Saturday so it seems as though he was forced to go into the protocols due to something off of the court. While he's out, Herbert Jones and Naji Marshall will likely get some added minutes while Jonas Valanciunas sees some more usage in the starting lineup.
Thursday, December 15
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Brandon Ingram (toe) won't be back on Thursday night against the Utah Jazz, marking his ninth straight absence due to left big toe contusion. He apparently suffered a setback during rehab, so it's anyone's guess as to how much longer he'll be sidelined. In the meantime, Trey Murphy III is expected to remain in the starting lineup. Murphy has averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals while shooting 40.4% from deep in 15 starts in 2022-23, keeping him a viable streaming option in all fantasy formats.
New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jose Alvarado (ribs) won't play Thursday against Utah. He is set to miss his first game of the season with a right rib contusion. Alvarado's absence should result in more minutes for Dyson Daniels and Devonte' Graham. Graham has a bigger reputation, but he's struggled to make an impact this season and Daniels should be the better fantasy option. However, managers shouldn't expect any miracles from the rookie, as he has been getting only 5.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists this month despite averaging close to 27 minutes a night.
Tuesday, December 13
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) is hopeful that he will return at some point during the team's road trip, but it won't be quite yet. The 25-year-old has officially been ruled out of the Tuesday contest against the Utah Jazz. This will mark his eighth missed game in a row while dealing with the same toe injury. Trey Murphy III and Dyson Daniels have benefitted the most from his absence, but with Herbert Jones coming back, either Murphy or Jones would be the best streaming options.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (ankle) received the probable status for Tuesday's contest against the Utah Jazz. He's missed five consecutive games since spraining his ankle against the Toronto Raptors on November 30th. While Brandon Ingram remains out, the Pelicans will welcome back any firepower to keep their seven-game winning streak alive. Jones will likely be a good starting option due to the fact that Ingram's minutes are still up for grabs.
Sunday, December 11
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) will remain out for Sunday's rematch with Phoenix. The 25-year-old has a left great toe sprain, forcing to miss his previous six games heading into this matchup. Dyson Daniels may continue to replace Ingram in the lineup. However, considering Daniels has averaged only 4.0 points and 3.5 rebounds across 24.5 minutes in four starts this season, he's not someone to consider in any fantasy format.
New Orleans Pelicans forwards Brandon Ingram (toe) and Herbert Jones (ankle) are hopefully going to be able to return at some point during the road trip, according to head coach Willie Green. Ingram has been sidelined since November 25th, while Jones has been out since November 30th with a left ankle sprain. In their absence, Dyson Daniels and Trey Murphy III have benefited the most with Ingram and Jones out. Both players should be reliable streaming options for the time being. Murphy should be able to continue carrying value once Ingram does return.
Saturday, December 10
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Brandon Ingram (toe) will remain on the shelf for Friday's contest against the Suns. He is working his way back from a big toe sprain and isn't quite ready yet, sitting out a sixth consecutive game. With Herbert Jones (ankle) also remaining out, Trey Murphy III and Naji Marshall have an opportunity to put in extra work. Dyson Daniels has also benefited from the injuries, but he's been underwhelming in three starts and can't be fully trusted to put in a good performance. Marshall has issues with inconsistency as well, but Murphy III is currently a very good option for fantasy managers.
Wednesday, December 07
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) has been listed as out for the team's game against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. He's in line to miss his fifth game in a row while dealing with a toe contusion. He's yet to find a rhythm this season after hitting a couple of rough stretches with injuries. The 25-year-old's next chance to play will be on Friday against the Phoenix Suns. While he's out, Trey Murphy III and Naji Marshall will continue to see more playing time.
New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Herbert Jones (ankle) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against Detroit. The 24-year-old sprained his left ankle in a game last week and it looks likely that he is forced to miss a third consecutive game. Jones has been enjoying a solid campaign, averaging 10.6 points per game with 3.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals. Dyson Daniels has made his first two career starts in Jones' absence, but he has struggled to make a mark and won't likely be a great fantasy option. Jose Alvarado, Trey Murphy III and Naji Marshall look much more attractive, especially with the team dealing with a few other injuries as well.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Devonte' Graham (toe) could sit out his first game of the season Wednesday against the Pistons. He's on the injury report with a right big toe sprain. The 27-year-old has seen his fantasy value disappear this season, but he has received extended minutes lately due to a number of injuries and it will be a bad blow for Graham if he can't make it Wednesday. His absence should give more minutes to Jose Alvarado and Dyson Daniels, with the former looking like a very attractive piece for Wednesday's action. Alvarado exploded for a career-high 38 points in 27 minutes at the weekend against Denver, and he has become a good option across all fantasy formats.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (ankle) has officially been listed as out for the team's game against the Detroit Pistons. He was previously listed as doubtful, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that he did end up being marked out for the game. Dyson Daniels will likely receive another start, but he wouldn't be too trustworthy of a streaming option. Players like Jose Alvarado or Trey Murphy III would be better options.
Sunday, December 04
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) won't play on Sunday versus Denver. The 25-year-old will now sit out his fourth straight contest because of a left great toe sprain. As a result, Trey Murphy III is expected to remain in the starting lineup. The 2021 first-round pick has played well in his 10 starts this season, averaging 15.7 points and shooting 44.9% from deep. Murphy should continue to get chances to produce, so fantasy managers should get him in the lineup.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (ankle) is out again on Sunday against Denver. The 24-year-old missed the team's previous game because of a sprained left ankle, so his next chance to see action will come on Wednesday versus Detroit. With Brandon Ingram (toe) sitting as well, Trey Murphy III should continue to roll with the starting unit. Murphy has averaged 15 points in his 10 starts on the year, so he's worth a start in all fantasy formats. Dyson Daniels, who had five rebounds, four points, and three assists in 32 minutes against the Spurs on Friday, should also remain on the floor more than usual.
Friday, December 02
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum (conditioning) is tagged on the injury report as probable to play on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs. The 31-year-old veteran has missed the last four games while he was in the health and safety protocols. Since Brandon Ingram and Herbert Jones are both out, the Pelicans' offense will welcome back McCollum with open arms. Throughout this season so far, McCollum is ranked in the top 60 for fantasy value, so his fantasy managers will welcome him back all the same.
Thursday, December 01
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (ankle) was forced to exit early during Wednesday's game against the Toronto Raptors. The young forward injured his ankle early in the third quarter. He landed on his ankle awkwardly, but was able to leave the court under his own power. The X-rays on his ankle came back negative, which hopefully means Jones won't miss significant time. Dyson Daniels and Garrett Temple would benefit the most, assuming Jones does miss time. Between the two, Daniels has more upside, but is only worth considering in deep leagues.
Wednesday, November 30
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) will miss a second consecutive game Wednesday against Toronto. He hurt his left big toe last week and will need to recover for a bit. Trey Murphy III has replaced Ingram in the starting lineup and looks set for another good outing Monday. With CJ McCollum (conditioning) also out, Zion Williamson will do most of the heavy lifting offensively and Jonas Valanciunas should also have an opportunity to play a bigger role in attack.
Monday, November 28
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 25-year-old exited Friday's game due to a left toe sprain, so it sounds like he'll miss this game with the same issue. Trey Murphy III has been a stud recently with Ingram out. He'll be an excellent fantasy option and DFS choice for Monday's slate. Garrett Temple and Dyson Daniels should see more minutes, but are more of deep league fantasy options.
Saturday, November 19
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (foot) will miss another game Friday versus Boston. He has a right foot contusion, which is a bit of a worry because the same foot has previously caused him serious trouble. Williamson plays a massive role for the Pelicans, but the team seems to be just fine without him, having won the two previous games he has missed in a pretty comfortable fashion. Trey Murphy III has moved to the starting unit and looks set to get the not again Friday night. He has done a bit of everything and even logged a double-double in Wednesday's win over Chicago, so the 22-year-old is looking like a great fantasy option right now.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III was forced off early Friday night versus Boston, leaving in the second quarter with right foot soreness. He went scoreless in 12 minutes before exiting. This was a third consecutive start for Murphy III, with him having replaced Zion Williamson (foot) in the starting unit. He had looked really good in the first two games, but Friday's injury is obviously a major blow to his fantasy stock. The Pelicans are off until Monday, which gives Murphy III the whole weekend to recover, but Zion might be back as well by the time the team hosts the Warriors. Larry Nance Jr. is the guy to target if either one can't go Monday night. He's a versatile player who can rack up stats in a hurry, which Nance Jr. proved against the Celtics, bagging 16 points with eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and two blocks in 27 minutes.
Wednesday, November 16
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans power forward Zion Williamson (foot) will miss a second consecutive game Wednesday versus Chicago. The team is finishing off a back-to-back set and there were hopes of Zion returning to action after sitting out Tuesday's first leg against Memphis, but he hasn't been able to recover from a right foot contusion. Trey Murphy III joined the starting unit Tuesday and should keep his place, while Brandon Ingram and C.J. McCollum will be the focal points of the offense. The duo combined for 49 points against the Grizzlies, with McCollum having a really good 30-point night.
Tuesday, November 15
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (ankle) has been tagged as questionable for the team's game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night. This injury designation seemed to pop up yesterday during the team's off day. So, with that being said, it sounds more like a soreness issue rather than a sprain that will cause some missed time. If he does miss this game, however, Herbert Jones and Trey Murphy III would likely be the best streaming options.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (foot) will not play Tuesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Pelicans are considering Williamson day-to-day so the injury is not considered serious. Trey Murphy III is likely to enter the starting lineup with Herbert Jones and Larry Nance Jr. should see increased minutes as well. Looking ahead, the Pelicans play again on Wednesday and Williamson should be considered questionable.
Monday, November 14
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard Kira Lewis Jr. (knee) has been assigned to the Pelicans' G League affiliate Birmingham Squadron. The 21-year-old guard suffered a torn ACL in December of 2021. The fact he's heading to the G-League is a good sign for his recovery process. It's uncertain when we'll see Lewis on the court again or if he'll play before the end of this season. Regardless, it's unlikely that Lewis plays meaningful minutes for the Pelicans this season. However, it's great to see the young guard finally making some good progress.
Friday, November 11
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Larry Nance Jr. (knee) is a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup against Portland. He sat out the first leg of a back-to-back Wednesday against Chicago and it remains to be seen if Nance Jr. is feeling well enough to play against his former team. Pelicans head coach Willie Green has at least been optimistic about Nance Jr.'s chances to take the court. Naji Marshall and Willy Hernangomez logged extended minutes with Nance Jr. unavailable Wednesday. They will benefit if Nance Jr. ends up sitting out the game.
Wednesday, November 09
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Larry Nance Jr. (knee) is questionable to play Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls. Nance has been playing very well in a reserve role this year, but suffered a hyperextended knee on Monday. The fact that Nance is listed as questionable bodes well for his status moving forward as it is likely not a long-term injury. If Nance is unable to go, Zion Williamson and Jonas Valanciunas will likely see the bulk of the frontcourt minutes. Trey Murphy III should also see a sizable role off the bench.
Thursday, November 03
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (knee) won't suit up for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He underwent an MRI on Sunday, which showed no structural damage. He remains day-to-day with a right knee hyperextension, so it's uncertain if he'll suit up for their next game. Trey Murphy III and Naji Marshall will get a boost in playing time with Jones sitting out. Both players could be worth looking at as deep league streaming options on Wednesday.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (concussion) has officially been listed as probable to return on Friday night against the Golden State Warriors. After being taken out of the team's third game of the season with a concussion, he missed the next four. With Zion Williamson already back from his ailments, the Pelicans will finally have their big three back. Fantasy-wise, this means the value of Naji Marshall and Larry Nance Jr. will return to waiver wire status.
Sunday, October 30
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hip, back) is questionable ahead of Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers. Williamson has missed his last two games after getting banged up during his most recent appearance versus the Utah Jazz. The team is certainly looking to get him back, especially with Brandon Ingram (concussion protocols) out for at least a few more games. However, if Williamson can't go, Larry Nance Jr. and Naji Marshall should continue to see additional minutes.
Saturday, October 29
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum (finger) is expected to play on Friday against Phoenix, barring a setback during warmups. The 31-year-old has been riding a questionable tag heading into this one due to a sprained middle finger on his right hand. With Brandon Ingram (head) out and Zion Williamson (hip) uncertain to suit up, McCollum could see an uptick in production if he plays.
Friday, October 28
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (head) won't be available for the team's three-game road trip, beginning on Friday against the Suns. The 25-year-old remains in concussion protocols after exiting Sunday's matchup against the Utah Jazz. The Pelicans are dealing with a slew of injuries heading into the meeting with Phoenix, with Herbert Jones (knee), CJ McCollum (finger), Jose Alvarado (back), and Zion Williamson (hip) questionable. As a result, Trey Murphy III, who had 22 points and five rebounds while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from deep versus Dallas, could see an enhanced role moving forward. Larry Nance Jr., Jonas Valanciunas, and Devonte' Graham may also benefit.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hip, back) isn't expected to play against the Suns, the first of the team's three-game road trip. The 22-year-old took a hard fall late in Sunday's matchup against the Jazz, resulting in an injury to his right hip and lower back. Fortunately, there's a good chance he'll return on Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers. With Brandon Ingram (head) ruled out, and Jose Alvarado (back), Herbert Jones (knee), and CJ McCollum (finger) questionable, Trey Murphy III, who scored 22 points against the Mavericks, could be in store for another big night. Naji Marshall, Jonas Valanciunas, and Larry Nance Jr. may also be more involved on Friday.
Monday, October 24
TEAMPLAYERTRANSACTION
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (head) won't return to Sunday's game against the Utah Jazz due to concussion-like symptoms. During the second quarter, Ingram seemed to get hit in the face when colliding with Naji Marshall. He checked himself out of the game and then the team announced at halftime that he wouldn't return. He's been the team's leading scorer in their first two games with 28 points per game. Fantasy managers should check back after the game to see if will actually have to enter the league's concussion protocols.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (head) exited Sunday's loss to the Jazz. While he returned briefly, he was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game with concussion-like symptoms. The 25-year-old is averaging 22.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting 57.1% from deep this season. Zion Williamson (hip) also didn't return due to a hip contusion caused by a hard fall, so there's a chance both men won't be available on Tuesday against the Mavs. If that's the case, Larry Nance Jr. and Trey Murphy III, who combined for 26 points off the bench in this one, may enter the starting lineup.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hip) did not return to Sunday's matchup against the Jazz due to a hip contusion. Despite the premature exit caused by a hard fall, Williamson would still finish with 25 points off an efficient 10-for-16 shooting effort from the field while adding six boards, two blocks, and a steal. Unfortunately for the Pels, Brandon Ingram (head) was also ruled out due to concussion-like symptoms. As a result, there's a chance neither man will play on Tuesday against the Mavs, which may open the door for Trey Murphy III and Larry Nance Jr. to enter the starting lineup.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Herbert Jones (knee) underwent an MRI following Sunday's contest. The MRI showed no structural damage in his right knee. The team is considering Jones questionable for Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The 24-year-old hasn't brought much to the table through three games, but fantasy managers should remain patient with him. It's early in the season, so there's a chance he gets more playing time soon. Regardless, it sounds like Jones has avoided serious injury and should be back on the court soon.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (hip) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. The 22-year-old appears to have avoided serious injury after a scary fall on Sunday. He suffered a bruised hip, which could end up costing him a game or two. Although, his doesn't sound like an injury that is going to force Williamson to miss significant time. Larry Nance Jr. and Jaxson Hayes are likely going to be asked to pick up the slack, assuming Williamson is unable to play on Tuesday.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (head) was forced to exit early during Sunday's game. The 25-year-old took a hit to the face and was removed as a precaution. Luckily, Ingram is no longer in concussion protocol, so that's good news. He is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. Ingram is off to a nice start to the season, so hopefully he'll be stay on the court. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Tuesday for another update on his status.
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (head) won't be available for Tuesday's contest against the Dallas Mavericks. Head coach Willie Green mentioned earlier that Ingram was not dealing with a concussion. It appears that he misspoke as Ingram will miss Tuesday's game due to a concussion. The 25-year-old has a few hurdles to jump before getting back on the court. Trey Murphy III will likely benefit the most in the absence of Ingram. He could be worth rostering in the short term while Ingram is out.

New Orleans Pelicans center Jaxson Hayes (elbow) is still looking to make his season debut and is questionable to play Sunday night against the Utah Jazz. Hayes is still recovering from offseason elbow surgery and was also listed as questionable Friday night before being ruled out. If active, Hayes will likely take some minutes away from Larry Nance Jr. and Willy Hernangomez, but would not be fantasy relevant in a limited role.
New Orleans Pelicans center Jaxson Hayes (elbow) is available to play Sunday against the Utah Jazz. Hayes has missed the start of the season due to offseason elbow surgery, but will make his way back to the court on Sunday. Hayes has a plethora of big men ahead of him in the rotation, so he will likely need an injury or two to return to fantasy relevance.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (ankle) was limited during Sunday's practice. However, the superstar forward is determined to get on the court for the season opener on Wednesday. The 22-year-old is dealing with a sprained left ankle, but it doesn't appear to be painful enough to keep Williamson off the court. The oft-injured forward desperately needs to stay healthy this season. It's likely that the Pelicans give Williamson plenty of rest days in an attempt to keep him healthy. The sky is the limit for Williamson, so hopefully he can stay on the court.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (ankle) was limited during Sunday's practice. However, head coach Willie Green hopes the 22-year-old will be available for a full session on Monday. Williamson has been battling an ankle issue, so he's not a lock to be in the lineup for the season-opener versus the Brooklyn Nets. If he's officially ruled out, Larry Nance Jr. will likely fill the void and could provide a few games worth of extra scoring and rebounding for fantasy managers.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's preseason matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. The team is uncertain if Williamson will play in the preseason finale after he suffered an ankle injury on Wednesday. It sounds like the ankle injury is minor, but the team doesn't want to push it with the regular season about to begin. There's a good chance that the Pelicans take the cautious approach and rest Williamson on Friday. Although, Williamson should be fine for the regular season, which begins October 19th.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (toe) didn't suit up for Wednesday's preseason matchup against the Miami Heat. He continues to deal with toe soreness, but it sounds like he is improving. Ingram was able to practice on Tuesday and it appears he could play in the preseason finale on Friday. It would be fantastic to see Ingram suit up on Friday and actually get in some game action before the regular season begins. He should be around a top 60-70 fantasy contributor, but Zion Williamson and C.J. McCollum being healthy could potentially hurt his value.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Jaxson Hayes (elbow) suffered a torn UCL in his left elbow during Friday's preseason outing versus Detroit. He will miss at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. The 22-year-old is coming off his best season as a professional, finishing with averages of 9.3 points and 4.5 rebounds. However, he shot a career-worst 61.6% from the field. With Zion Williamson and Larry Nance expected to handle most of the minutes at the four spot, Hayes isn't forecasted to get much work at the position. Jonas Valanciunas has things locked down in the middle, and the presence of Willy Hernangomez could bump Hayes out of the lineup enough to keep him out of fantasy consideration. With that said, he may earn some appearances as a starter during the 2022-23 campaign, so there could be streaming potential throughout the season.
